FORT WORTH, TX (February 26th, 2024) –Palm Primary Care Texas (“Palm”), part of the Florida-based Palm Medical Centers and the MBF Healthcare Partners II, L.P. (“MBF”) portfolio, has acquired two primary care practices from Texas Health Physicians group located in Dallas and Duncanville, TX. This is the sixth primary care clinic that Palm has acquired or opened in Tarrant and Dallas counties since they started in June 2023. This is also a part of the strategic expansion of Palm to expand care to Medicare beneficiaries in North Texas by 2025. As of February 26th, Palm has closed the transaction of Texas Health Physicians group to Palm centers, but the buildings won’t bear the Palm name and have Palm staff for several months.
The first location’s lead providers are Bane Smith, MD, and Eliazar Garcia Alvarez, MD. Both have practiced at the 3920 W Wheatland Rd location in south Dallas for over 20 years. The second location’s lead provider is Charles McWilliams, APRN, FNP. Dr. Smith also serves as the medical director of this clinic. Both clinics aim to emphasize convenience and compassionate care to Medicare beneficiaries, providing a full range of services for patients and their families.
