First-year collaboration brings Cristo Rey Corporate Work Study students to Palm’s Miami medical center
CORAL GABLES, Fla. (February 4, 2026) — Palm Medical Centers today announced its partnership with Cristo Rey Miami High School’s Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP), which began in Summer 2025. In its first year with Palm, the partnership includes Cristo Rey students working onsite at Palm Medical Centers’ Miami medical center one day each week, gaining hands-on professional experience while earning income to help offset tuition costs.
“Working at Palm Medical Centers has been a truly meaningful experience for me. I’ve gained hands-on learning, and the team welcomed me with encouragement and kindness,” said London Avril, a Cristo Rey Miami student. “My supervisors and coworkers have been patient, supportive, and always willing to answer my questions, which helped me feel confident. I’m grateful for the opportunity and proud to be part of this partnership.”
Cristo Rey Miami’s CWSP is designed to help students build workplace skills through real-world experience in professional settings, complementing their college-preparatory curriculum.

At Palm’s Miami medical center, students support the team through administrative and office-based responsibilities that help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly, including front-office support, organizing materials, data entry assistance, and other supervised tasks aligned with their training and roles.
