Brian Byrd, MD

Dr. William Brian Byrd founded Texas Family Medicine in 2001. He attended the University of Texas at Austin as an undergraduate and the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio where he received his medical degree. He is board certified in Family Medicine and is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.  His calling is driven by long-term relationships with the people who trust him with their physical, mental, psychological, and spiritual health. His medical philosophy is patient-centered: understanding the patient as a human being who is precious because they are created in the image of God.

As an active member of his church, prison ministry and supporting his wife’s non-profit work in human & sex trafficking, he is engaged in the local Fort Worth community. He and his wife have three grown children. In his free time, you will find Dr. Byrd grilling out or playing golf with family and friends.
